The Charitable Film Network and Downtown Community Television (DCTV) Present - A series of documentary film screenings that showcase important social issues impacting each organization's native city. The film exchange was created to raise cultural awareness, promote dialogue about social justice, and facilitate new collaborations between talented media makers in both cities.

Submission Deadline - JULY 30, 2009 The Charitable Film Network is proud to present the Second Annual “Protect Our Wetlands, Protect Ourselves” Environmental Video Competition. The goal of the competition is to promote greater awareness among youth, community media-makers, and the general public about important environmental challenges facing Gulf Coast Communities.
In the summer
of 2006, CFN kicked off its first Youth Media Exchange between
teenage filmmakers from the Big Apple and the Big Easy. They
produced "Taklin'
Water," a documentary about
the experiences of these young filmmakers and others in Post-Katrina
New Orleans.
ITVS
COMMUNITY CINEMA is a
monthly screening series that pairs independently produced documentary
films on timely and important social issues with leading organizations
working on related issues in communities across the country.
